Frequency Specific Microcurrent

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a technique for treating pain using low-level (microamperage) electrical current. Current is delivered to specific body parts in an attempt to relieve pain. A frequency is the rate at which an electronic pulse is produced, measurable in hertz (Hz). Through the use of FSM in the clinical setting, it has been indicated that various frequencies can potentially reduce inflammation (swelling), repair tissue, and reduce pain. It is a non-invasive and painless treatment that may help reduce pain without drugs or surgery. Dr. Langdon was trained by Dr. Carolyn McMakin, a pioneer and leader in the field.

FSM is currently being researched and utilized at the Cleveland Clinic, at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for Wounded Warriors, at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, and elsewhere.
